The lady who called in to late night talk radio tonight said that Jared Loughner's left eye in this photo is very dark and his right eye has a perfectly-edged rectangle in it. The radio DJ speculated that the dark eye may have been bruised when he was wrestled to the ground.I think his left eye is in shadow, which is why it is dark. This photo isn't good enough to see the rectangle, but it's probably just a reflection of something rectangular (like a photoflash).
And looking at him, I still see an actor in a very tight vise doing Improv.
