Busy day rebuilding the porch. When Joe bid the job at $600, I thought he was nuts. Unsurprisingly, just the supplies have cost more. At the end of the day, Joe and his helper had some kind of falling out that I don't understand, but probably has something to do with low pay. Many similar jobs with Joe have ended with the same kind of instability. It's probably the cheap bastard who hired Joe.
Towards the end of the day I was surprised by the appearance of an illegal looking for work. How did he find our job? It's not like we are advertising, or anything. I guess you don't need to look for them; they will find you!
