On Sunday afternoon, Sally and I went down to the 64th Annual Japanese Food & Cultural Bazaar. We were there primarily to see her Japanese folk dance group perform, but also to take in the sights, sounds, and tastes of the bazaar. I particularly liked the red bean pastries on sale. I took some video - I'll see if I can upload them over the next few days.
The tent provided shade, and air was circulating, but it was still pretty hot.
Sacramento's Taiko Dan drum group also performed. Here, performers wear camellia-themed robes.
When evanescent fundraising activities are carried out within and amongst more-permanent religious structures, you sometimes get strange incongruities....
