The Left Coaster notes that Juan Cole was at UC Santa Cruz last night. Despite all the chaos in Iraq, Cole makes an interesting point:
US has been fortunate Arab reaction to the occupation has been so mild.The Shia have been doing their best to avoid battle with the despised U.S., because the U.S. have taken their side with their battle against the Sunni. It will be interesting, indeed, if they ever change their minds!
