Cult favorite with ex-Green Beret Billy Jack (Tom Laughlin, who also directs) fighting discrimination and oppression in northern New Mexico. Also starring Delores Taylor, Howard Hesseman, Teresa Kelly, and John Colicos. Filmed at Bandelier National Monument, Eaves Movie Ranch, Santa Clara Pueblo, Santa Fe, and Socorro.

The scene walking down the highway, with the RR overpass is located on the old 89A route from Granite Dells to Jerome. (Drove it many times in the early 1970s.) Road appears to be abandoned now - 34.62306894164337, -112.40857417189126 is the RR overpass, Old RR is Peavine trail on Google Maps. BTW, Yavapai county sort of mimicked the tone of the movie in those days - not as hostile but still an undercurrent of the rural areas.
