Predator And Prey

Saturday afternoon, I watched the predator chase its prey across a parking lot.

The predator trimmed and hovered and banked.

The prey feinted left and headed right, and employed every artifice of evasion.

The predator, a sparrow, quickly dove and caught the prey!

Unfortunately, the prey was just a wad of paper blowing erratically in the wind.

It is impossible not to mock a sparrow standing with a wad of paper in its beak.
