"The Addams Family" - Runaway Stage Productions

The Addams Ancestors, at bows.

A very fun show! Very clever script. My favorite leads were Gomez Addams (Mark Ettensohn), Wednesday Addams (Karissa Lee Carleton), and Alice Beineke (Celia Green), with Uncle Fester (Chad Marquis) a close fourth. I don't remember seeing Karissa Lee Carleton before, so I was surprised by her strong performance. In many ways, this show is a triumph for her. Uncle Fester's performance (together with Female Ancestors) of "The Moon and Me" is delightfully trippy!

Left to right, Gomez Addams (Mark Ettensohn), Wednesday Addams (Karissa Lee Carleton), Lurch (Jerry Gray), and Lucas Beineke (Michael Roivas)

We have been go the Adams Family performance twice and will be going a third time on Sunday the 25th. Loved and agreed with the review by Marc Valdez but we could be accused of being a bit bias when it comes to Karissa Lee Carleton since we are her grandparents. However she is amazing. She recently performed in "White Christmas" at a production at Hiram Johnson H.S. She played the roll of Judy and showed all of her skills: acting, singing and dancing. She also plays the guitar. She just turned 15 November 30. Plus she is a very nice and caring person.

    1. Yes, Karissa did a fine job, and I hope to see her in more shows! Her shimmering green costume looked exotic and helped her performance.
