The forecasts for Tropical Storms Katia and Lee had looked pretty stable, but now they are changing again.
It had looked like Katia would miss the U.S. altogether, but now they are suggesting it will come right up to Florida before veering away, to hit SC & NC instead. The forecasts had also suggested a second Gulf of Mexico storm would generate from the vicinity of the Yucatan Peninsula and quickly approach Tampa from the SW, but that forecast has now vanished.
In other words, the situation appears to be difficult to predict. Tampa looks OK for now, but the Gods of the Tropics appear fickle this month, so keep an eye out.
