The pilots guided this flight from Las Vegas to Albuquerque followed the scenic route, flying along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, one of the most beautiful and dramatic landscapes on Earth. Unfortunately, I must have flipped a switch wrong on the digital camera, because all my pictures of the Grand Canyon vanished. But many other pictures survived.

What is this ghostly land use pattern south of Highway 264 and east of Highway 77? A north-south pattern (is it religious?) Google Earth shows the pattern results from differences in the density of juniper trees.
