A Conspiracy About The RNC Music

@officialjoshtolley Donald Trump loves picking the music. So how did he end the RNC? #RNC #TRUMP #BridgetMoynahan #SUMOFALLFEARS #DNC #JOEBIDEN #BIDEN #trumpvance2024 #joshtolley ♬ original sound - Josh Tolley - Official

Everything Is Known

One of the most persuasive reasons gun owners give about not wanting the government to register their weapons is the fear of government oppression. Better to not register the weapons at all.

Yet, modern technology already allows interested parties to know who owns guns. The Trump campaign already had such a database for swing states in 2016, and I’m sure the technology has only improved since then.

Actually, any organization with resources can put together such a database. The organization could be affiliated with the government, or not. Their reaction could be benign or malign. It hardly matters.

The call is coming from inside your house.
In 2016 the Trump campaign built a database profiling millions of voters in key battleground states – including the family of Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Crooks.
It found that both the parents of Thomas Crooks were very likely to be gun owners and shared other gun-related lifestyle indicators.
@meidastouch "Channel 4 News can reveal that Thomas Crooks's, [the shooter's] father, the owner of the rifle that was used to shoot at Donald Trump, was held on a database and profiled by the former president's election campaign and identified by them as a strong Republican supporter, gun owner and hunter. The information was compiled as part of a secret Republican project to gather data on millions of gun owners across America and use it to target pro-gun messages in the run up to the 2016 election...We know they profiled them using secret computer models to identify likely gun owners and enthusiasts, and Mr. Crooks scored very highly, 0.99 out of 1 for being a gun owner and 0.95 out of one 1 being a hunter. In fact, out of more than 19,000 people in Bethel Park who were profiled, Mr. Crooks was in the top 20 and the database classified him as a strong GOP or Republican voter." #trump #thomascrooks #meidastouch ♬ original sound - MeidasTouch

"Unworthy of Your Love"

The assassination thread runs through my life like a strange thunderstorm, suddenly intruding when you had thought it had vanished. Trying to piece together the very confusing news as a 7-year-old when JFK was shot, and as an 11-year-old when MLK and RFK were shot, and it felt like something had irretrievably broken in the country. Then Squeaky Fromme got tired of dumpster-diving in Sacramento alleys and decided to try something new in 1975. There was watching Robert De Niro ("You talking to me?") play Travis Bickel in "Taxi Driver" at a double-feature with "Shampoo" at the Gothic Theater in Denver in June, 1976, and then having the movie come shockingly to life five years later. In 1994, it was interesting listening to Dr. Walt Bromberg talk about his psychological evaluation of Jack Ruby. Jack was one interesting guy - he idolized Jackie Kennedy - but he was too naïve for the kind of trouble he got into. Things have been relatively quiet in recent years - things handled behind the scenes, of course. But here we go again!

The musical "Assassins" is uneven. I don't like its portrayal of Lee Harvey Oswald as a pawn. Oswald was one resourceful individual; at least as resourceful as John Wilkes Booth. It would be good to completely rewrite the show. But I do like this song....

I Wonder How the False Flag Operation in Pennsylvania is Going?

Looks pretty messy.

Pissing off many conservatives on the web.  "Next time," I say.  It enrages them.

Good.

It Takes a Long Time to Get to the Top

This Editorial Board is Just Vile

Oh now it looks like they are finally bothsidesing their enthusiastic support for Trump. Weeks have passed, assholes! WE SEE YOU! Remember, hardly anyone in Trump's base reads the NY Times, and so the Times can belatedly complain about trump and not suffer any consequences at all. It's all this posing as liberals when they are anything but that is what is so enraging.

It's Bait-and-Switch Time on Abortion Rights by the GOP

The media is full of stories about a supposed moderation of hardline positions. None of these stories are remotely true:
In other words, the removal of the previous opposition does not amount to a recognition of equal rights for same-sex couples. It is a strategic silence asserted in the belief that the Roberts Court will narrow those rights in its own time without the GOP having to pay a political price for making that happen. Other language in the new platform refers to being able to “act in accordance with those [religious] Beliefs, not just in places of Worship, but in everyday life.” This is about justifying religious exemptions to anti-discrimination laws, which will target LGBTQ Americans and women, among others. This is an agenda that contemplates second-class citizenship for anyone who is not a right-wing Christian, and elevated status for those who are.

Time to take them down!

What is the Best Pop Tune of the Decade of the Sixties?

I’m sure everyone has their favorites. Still, I think it’s this song. It’s perfect for cruising around with the AM radio on.
