Yesterday's firing of Comey may well be the beginning of Trump's downfall. I am reminded of Churchill's famous quote at the end of the Battle of Britain:
This is not the end. This is not even the beginning of the end. This is just perhaps the end of the beginning.
Not a chance. As long as the Democrats don't control a house of Congress, this goes exactly nowhere. This is Watergate with Nixon in the driver's seat.
Trump's clearly irrational behavior will have to be addressed at some point by the republicans. My gut feeling is that this may be the event which incites opposition within the republican Congress.

DeleteTrump's actions are perfectly rational and the GOP is pretty-much on board with everything he's doing.
