The Road To Wanaka

Left: Rain clouds close in, and the clouds descend, as we enter Otago.
M: This place sort of reminds me of Colorado.
A: This place reminds me of Wales.
M: Wales? Really?
A.: Yes.
M: Now it's dried out a bit. I swear we are on the road to Phoenix, from Payson, AZ. In fact, in one or two k's, there will be saguaro cactus on the roadsides.
A: That brilliant green in the meadows reminds me of Hilo, Hawaii.

Left: Pretty flowers near the shore of Lake Tekapo.

Left: Statue of the sheep herder's favorite dog, a collie, near the Church of the Good Shepherd, on the shore of Lake Tekapo.

Left: Statue in the town of Fairlie of James MacKenzie, noted sheep thief.
